CELPIP test is developed and administered by Paragon Testing Enterprises, a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia, and is one of the official English language tests designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The CELPIP is administered by Paragon Testing Enterprises at testing centers around the world. Each center offers the CELPIP - General test, which assesses English speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills. The test is computer-delivered, completed in a single sitting of approximately 3 hours, and is approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Permanent Residence applications. Results are typically available online within 3 to 4 business days after the test date
