CELPIP 2025

CELPIP-exam-

- CELPIP Eligibility in 2025

CELPIP is a language proficiency test that is primarily used by individuals applying for Canadian permanent residency, certain professional designations, and admission to various colleges or vocational programs. . Eligibility for taking the CELPIP exam in Nigeria is generally open to any non‐native English speaker who wishes to demonstrate their proficiency for purposes like Canadian immigration, citizenship, or professional designation. There are a few key points to note:

Age Requirements:

- For CELPIP-General (used for immigration and professional purposes), most test centers accept candidates who are 18 years or older.

- For CELPIP-General LS (required for Canadian citizenship), IRCC guidelines typically apply (usually for applicants between 14 and 64 years of age).

Identification:

- You must have a valid, original, and government-issued ID (e.g., passport, national ID, or driver’s license) that exactly matches your registration details.

Purpose of Testing:

- The exam is designed to assess everyday English skills. If you’re taking it to meet IRCC language requirements (for immigration or citizenship), ensure that your intended program’s minimum scores align with your performance on CELPIP.

Since there are no additional restrictions based on nationality, any eligible candidate in Nigeria who meets these requirements can register for and take the CELPIP exam.
